It's been a long time since I first left the nest. Six long years that as I look back at now seem not too long ago!
Many things have happened in my life since then.
In 1996 I meet a wonderful man, who honored and adored me. We got married on a "frog-killer" rainy Texas day (I remember it was a Thursday) in August and have been very happy since.
In 1997, I was sent to South Korea by the Army. Tony, however, was sent to Fort Belvoir, VA,
so we spent that year apart. I did get to come home for our 1st Anniversary (after being
separated for 7 months), where Tony surprized me with dinner and tickets to Phantom of
the Opera at the Kennedy Center.
Then one day after Thanksgiving we found out that we were expecting our first child.
Both of us were surprized and scared at the same time.
We were blessed with a beautiful girl, we named Maria Isabella. I got out of the Army to
stay at home with Maria while Daddy slaves at work all day (haa, haa). Being a mother is
the greatest job I have ever had, dispite the bad days or hours. That precious smile makes
everything worth while!! : )
